Term 2 - Dangerous Dragons

Welcome back!

We have a busy term coming up, remembrance, Christmas, a LOTS of work to fit in too!

This term we will be diving in to the mystical world of dragons! We will be writing about them, designing our own, as well as creating some really exciting artwork too! In Geography, we will also be finding out about different types of maps, how to read them and how to follow compass directions.
Also, we will be preparing for a Christmas concert – of sorts! Quite how it will work, is yet to be determined, but we will let you know in due course!

Homework will continue to be sent out on Dojo, so look out for it!
PE days will continue to be Mondays and Wednesdays!

Term 1: Meet the Croods!

Hello everyone and welcome to year 3!

It has been a strange old year, but I can’t tell you how excited I am to be back in school and to see all your lovely faces!

This year we will be learning about the Stone Age! We will be creating some cave art, investigating how the cave men survived, as well as learning about rocks and soils! In the first few weeks we will have a particular emphasis on PSHE, keeping healthy and happy as we become accustomed to a slightly different routine!
Our learning in maths this term will include place value and the use of addition and subtraction in contexts and problems. We will also be practicing our times tables over the year to prepare for next year!

Our school values this term are courage and appreciation, which I think are very apt!

I look forward to getting to know all of you and having an exciting and productive year!

PE days will be Mondays and Wednesdays.
