The adventure of science for all children means exploring, investigating, discovering and understanding the world around them. The basis of good science learning is logical thinking brought about through experience of investigation, observation and activities. The emphasis in our teaching of science, is on first-hand experience which enables children to increasingly take charge of their own learning and understanding. We believe in a spiral approach with a clear progression of complexity which ensures embedded knowledge with the benefits of rapid retrieval enabling links between related topics to be quickly reached.
