World Book Day
Fri 10 Mar 2023HAPPY WORLD BOOK DAY! 🌍 📚
We have had the best day! Coming dressed as a word was an inspired idea by Mrs Rolfe and you didn’t disappoint. During assembly we shared some of our favourite costumes and admired the thought behind them. Some of my personal favourites were: vibrant, sophisticated, Spring, hypnotising, fossil and knowledge.
We have also been given 250 free books which the children have been diving into and enjoying throughout the day. -
Little Egrets Tour of TR2
Tue 07 Mar 2023Our Little Egrets class enjoyed a very interesting tour of TR2. They learnt lots about what goes on backstage and how the sets are made. They even got to try on some costumes!

Shearwaters trip to The Box
Wed 01 Feb 2023Our Year 3 class went on a trip to The Box last week where they enjoyed a fascinating workshop about Ancient Egypt followed by a guided tour of the museum.

Be Safe, Be Seen
Tue 16 Nov 2021We loved seeing all the children in their bright clothes today! They have been learning about how important it is to be seen, especially now that it's getting dark earlier.

Tree Planting Ceremony
Mon 18 Oct 2021On Friday we held a special ceremony to plant the Celebration Tree which was gifted to us by Lady Arran, the Vice Lord Lieutenant of Devon, on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee.
We welcomed lots of special visitors and parents to the school and we had a lovely afternoon. The children read out their poems and some of their hopes for the future of our planet. They pledged to look after and care for the tree as a symbol of the future.

Leavers Assembly
Fri 23 Jul 2021Yesterday we held our annual Leavers / Prize Giving assembly outside in the playground. We said 'Goodbye' to Year 6 and presented some awards. One child from each class received an 'Achievement' award and another received an 'Endeavour' award. Well done to all of our prize winners but also to every child in our school. You have been so resilient and have managed brilliantly through a difficult year. We are proud of you all!

Chicks!
Wed 19 May 2021Our Puffins class had some eggs delivered in an incubator and were very excited to watch some chicks hatch!
Two of the photos were taken when they had just hatched and the others were taken when they were just 1 week old.

Year 6 Weaving
Wed 17 Mar 2021Year 6 read the book 'One Plastic Bag' - a true story about an African woman who decided to recycle the plastic bags that were polluting her community. Year 6 will be recycling their own plastic bags by weaving them into purses. Here they are learning to weave with paper and designing the fronts of their purses. -
World Book Day

Oystercatchers
Tue 09 Feb 2021The Year 5s were very absorbed in their learning this afternoon when they were planning and designing their Information Boxes about extreme weather.
