Following the Chinese New Year Art competition, which several of our children took part in, the Guildhall held a celebration for the Chinese New Year.
On Sunday 18th February, the Guildhall opened its doors at 11am to the public for a Chinese Extravaganza! The event included: performances from a traditional Chinese dance group, a lion dance, Chinese food stalls, arts and craft stalls, a Chinese photo booth and much, much more! During the day, our children’s art work were displayed for the public to see. The winners of the competition also received money in a red envelope as their prize (a Chinese tradition). We went along to the day and took photos of our children’s work on display. They looked spectacular! Well done to all the children who took part. College Road was also mentioned on the ITV news, who covered the event.
